Officer Nolan is having a particularly bad day after learning his identity has been stolen and could jeopardize his position as an officer. Meanwhile, Sgt. Grey must confront his past and testify at the parole hearing of the man who shot Grey and murdered his partner.

All I could think was "$147,000, I saved for 20 years for my kids' college and had no where near even half that amount of money saved!"

All I could think was "$147,000, I saved for 20 years for my kids' college and had no where near even half that amount of money saved!" Yeah, we thought we had plenty of money saved too!! Not even close. Unbelievable. I’m loving how well The Rookie is doing in the ratings lately!!

Not even close. Unbelievable. I’m loving how well The Rookie is doing in the ratings lately!! You do realize he saved more than $147,000. He has already paid for at least 2 semesters. My question is why spend that much when there are good quality state universities where you can go for half that. I thought it was an outrageous amount for Nolan to have saved but it averages to around $10,000 a year which is still a lot.

You have a hard to please readership. Why did you say that? I didn't see any comments when I read the review.

You have a hard to please readership. Why did you say that? I didn't see any comments when I read the review. It's frustrating. You have to hit the SHOW COMMENTS button and then hit the DISQUS button to see most of the comments.
But I'm guessing she's talking about the Star Rating that people leave. I'm pretty sure there are a couple of Nathan Fillion haters who show up every week just to tank the rating. They've been doing it since the show started.

I think you're right about the Nathan haters weighing in. Every week the user rating is pretty low. They really go out of their way to hate on him. In any case, I don't think the rating was directed at you.

I really liked the story line with Lopez and Grey going to speak at the parole board meeting for the guy that killed Grey's partner. It really opened old wounds for both of them. I was please to see that Grey was moved by Russell's apparently sincere apology and desire to turn his life around to be someone his son could look up to. Grey didn't feel he had served enough time but I think at some point he may decide Russell deserves a parole. I couldn't help but feel bad for the son. He needs his dad now, not in another 10 years when he's grown.
Enough with the talk about Chen and Bradford getting together! That's the last thing I want to see. He's her TO. A relationship would be wildly inappropriate!
I could understand Rachel's dad's concerns. If Rachel gets Huntingtons, she will need someone to basically be there for her while she dies. After seeing Bradford's determination to help his ex-wife, I'm sure he would be up to the task to be there for her. I don't have any strong feelings about this relationship. It can end or continue, I don't really care.
Kind of shocking to see that they cut off Jordan's hand to get rid of his watch. He was an annoying character. Nolan was really sharp realizing they could track his watch and then leaving his body cam in the bathroom. It seemed unbelievable that Jordan was so moved by Nolan saving him that he turned over the comic books that he bought with Nolan's money so Nolan could get his money back.
So my big question is, in last week's episode Nolan ran into Grace at the hospital while holding a severed hand. Now this week the bad guy gets his hand chopped off. Is there an epidemic of severed hands or what?
