Bailey Chase is back! He was Kate's ex-lover in Castle. I loved him as Branch Connelly on Longmire. He looked great in a cowboy hat. As Branch Connelly:

For a rookie, Nolan sure gets involved in a lot of big time stuff that you would think detectives would handle.

Nolan gets off on the wrong foot this week when he questions how they get better acquainted with civilians while they're stuck in their shops. Grey's answer was to assign them to foot patrols much to everyone's dismay. Nolan catches his former CI, Bianca, making a drug purchase and discovers that she has feelings for him. He had tried to help her by getting her into a program to get her clean. DEA agent Banks wants to use Bianca to find out the location of a big fentanyl shipment. Nolan discovers she can't handle it and is forced to stand up to Banks when he threatens Nolan to make her do it. Nolan stands his ground so plan B is for Harper and Nolan to go undercover. Nolan crushed his CI by telling her he was her handler not her friend and was just doing his job when he helped her. I think it crushed Nolan a little to have to be so blunt with her because it goes against his nature to not be caring and helpful. Lucy meets a cute EMT but turns down a date with him because she is still scarred from her run in with the serial killer. She finds out Tim is unwilling to give her any dating advice because he was the one that encouraged her to go out when the serial killer grabbed her. Lucy was quick to tell him it wasn't his fault. She's acting like a high school student with a crush and I think it is driving Tim crazy. Tim finally relents and says she could do better than the firefighter. Banks and Harper have a history (working together) and Banks seems to be crushing on her. Might he come back and be a love interest? Harper seemed interested too. He even offered her a job that she turned down. Lopez has a run-in with a detective who is very dismissive of her. However her opinion changes when she sees what a good investigator Lopez is. She's impressed enough to offer to put Lopez on a fast track for detective if she is interested. I'd love to see Lopez take her up on the offer. She'd make a great detective and they could still work her into the story line. Highlights: The girl scout type kid that gives Lucy her neckerchief and tells her how to do a tourniquet. Grey inviting Nolan out for a .

I liked Lucy and Tim's discussion about how he feels guilty for pushing her towards Caleb. Lucy obviously isn't quite ready to date yet, but Emmett seemed like a nice guy with whom she could have some fun.
And what is it about Bailey Chase that he makes such a great law enforcement officer. Although I disliked Agent Banks the moment he told Harper they should have hooked up even while she was married.
