I loved the Mentalist and Good Wife also. Do you get to pick what you review? For the most part, yes, unless someone else is already reviewing it. I did review The Mentalist too. I wish ABC had given Castle that type of ending to wrap things up but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Currently, I review Once Upon a Time, Bones, Blue Bloods, Shades of Blue, Royal Pains, and I'll be picking up Queen of the South on USA network later this month and then Bull in the fall. As much TV as I watch, I ought to review them, but if I had to analyze them it probably wouldn't be as fun. Castle was the only one I really analyzed (maybe overanalyzed). I was probably over critical as well.

Hey ibmjas, if you're interested, we're always looking for new writers. I have nothing to do with hiring but if you want more info feel free to send me a direct message.

Michael Weatherly is now gone from NCIS. I still haven't watched the finale so no spoilers please. Anyway, he deserves a break from the grind of a network TV show that's been airing for 13 years, but what does he do? Jumps right back into a new show. Bull - looks like it could be a smart new show. I'll give it a shot. After watching the trailer (below) I feel like I've seen the entire 1st episode! BullIBM, thank you for sharing this link with us. Have to say, Michael Weatherly's new show wasn't even on my radar, but after watching this preview clip, I'm definitely interested enough to tune in and see if I like it. I was thinking of giving Animal Kingdom on TNT a try because I've always liked Ellen Barkin, but after watching their one hour "preview" episode last week, now I'm not so sure. Looks to be pretty dark and kind of creepy. Plus a lot of my cable shows are coming back (Royal Pains, Major Crimes, Rizzoli & Isles, Murder in the First, Suits), so I may not have room on my plate to add it. Heh. We'll see. Coincidentally, Christina Ochoa is in Animal Kingdom.

ibmjas and lala , Yeah, Rizzoli & Isles final season starts this Monday. This is Royal Pains final season and they've aired 3 episodes so far. I also love Major Crimes for its team vibe and Suits is my husband's favorite show. I think I'm going to skip Animal Kingdom. I'm just not up for any more dark, violent shows. That's definitely the trend these days and I don't mind watching a couple of those types of shows but too many of them is too much. I like shows that are fun yet have heart. That's probably why I loved Castle. I love Suits!! Started it last season and blew through the back episodes. Can't wait for it to start up again soon. I think shows like Castle are disappearing these days. I just don't like any of the new shows. I try them and make it through one or two episodes and just give up. They just don't hold my attention, or the acting is horrible. **sigh** That's so much of what I loved about Castle....the fun mixed with the not-too-heavy drama.

Have any of you watched Tyrant on FX?? It's not light entertainment at all, but for some reason I really like it. They're starting their third season next month I believe. Just a bit of trivia....Jonathan Silverman's wife, Jennifer Finnegan, plays one of the main characters.

Did anyone catch "BrainDead" on CBS? It certainly grabbed my interest although it's a little out there. Totally explains why politicians are so screwed up nowadays. Ha!

I've started watching The Americans via Amazon. I'm 4 episodes into S1. It's certainly not "must see TV for me" but it is Keri Russell and it's better than some of the other things I've tried lately.

I looovve The Americans. Definitely my favorite drama right now. Hope you can stick with it. It can get slow at parts, and is dark and somewhat violent, but I find it a fascinating show with great story arcs.

Sometimes I find it a bit hard to follow but I'm 5 episodes in and still watching so that's more than most shows I try lately. LOL

Who knows what I will be watching this fall...? But for summer, I will either catch up, or binge watch, The Last Ship, Unreal, Major Crimes, Bloodline, and the OJ documentary on ESPN. That's plenty, in addition to several movies. Oh, I forgot I still have my son's copy of ConMan 1 to watch.

I was riveted by it and learned so much I never knew about him, his background and even the murder trial (which I remember following closely at the time). The parallel look at Los Angeles and its police incidents were a fascinating companion to the rise and fall of Simpson. That one is definitely worth your time.
