Great episode for part 1 of the season finale. Because of the war started between La Fiera and Cesar, Lucy is needed to go undercover to reprise her role as the drug chemist. Harper is assigned to put her thru her paces to see if she is up to it since they don't have time to give her all the proper training. She did great, but after the training Lucy was kidnapped and taken to a place where Harper (Coco) was tied up and had a head injury. They told her they would kill Harper if she didn't talk. Lucy stayed in character and passed the test, but seemed shocked they staged something so scary after she had been kidnapped in real life earlier. Of course that was precisely why Lopez made it so scary and realistic. West found out that Stanton was reinstated. He was livid, but honestly this is pretty true to life. I've seen a lot of cases where the officer is kicked off the force, then when the hubbub dies down they get reinstated. It's horrible.
Lopez talks with La Fiera, who wants the recording of Cesar's dad turning over the operation to La Fiera instead of his own son. DEA takes the recording then has Lopez deliver a flash drive with malware so they can get the info they need to take her down. Of course La Fiera suspects that they will do something like that and plugs it into a clean computer with no internet. Lopez only turned over the drive after La Fiera promised not to kill or harm Cesar. La Fiera agrees but instead of harming Cesar, she plans to kill his baby son in true eye-for-an-eye fashion. Fortunately, Bradford and Nolan are there. Naturally the 2 of them are able to stop a bunch of men armed with assault weapons. Nolan even took on a guy with a knife and came away victorious. Nolan really proved himself in this episode and even Bradford was impressed. Bradford questioned his decision to become a Training Officer when he previously wanted so badly to be a detective. I didn't understand why he asked that since Nolan was told he could never be a detective because of the disciplinary action he received. He obviously had to go in a different direction. Nolan really stood his ground and I think that impressed Bradford as well.
My favorite thing was Tim having the Wedding March as Lopez' ringtone!
