Spoilers Ahead:
Nolan stumbles across a Russian spy ring. The feds step in but LAPD tries to keep their fingers in it. Nolan realizes that the Russian girl must have hidden something in his shop. He takes Bailey to the lockup to check it out. Rather surprised that they allowed a civilian in there and even more surprised when the Russian girl shows up to take back the flash drive she had hidden. Is there zero security there? Of course, it was all an excuse so Bailey could show off how bad ass she is when she has to fight for her life. I’m not warming up to Bailey and tired of them constantly trying to one up each other. I couldn’t believe that Nolan blurted out about the Russian spies trying to impress Bailey.
Harper gets involved in a possible kidnapping and when she thinks she finds out where they are, she goes in alone without waiting for backup. It’s like they’re trying to get killed.
Lopez is back from maternity leave. Her boss isn’t particularly thrilled to see her or her baby pics. She discovers that the break room fridge is broken when she goes to put her breast milk in there after she pumped. The bureaucracy would take months to cut through for a new fridge so Wesley buys one.
Wesley is in deep doo doo trying to keep Elijah happy. Because of him, Elijah has one of his men killed because he was afraid he would turn on him and Wesley wasn’t successful at getting him released from jail.
Chen offered Thorsen support since he has no other rookies to commiserate with and most of his friends deserted him when he was charged with murder.
Finally, Smitty is once again running unopposed to be their union rep. He seems like a horrible choice until it’s mentioned that no one would fight harder for benefits than Smitty. Nolan decides to run even though he thinks he’s too new to get many votes. Lopez says she’d vote for him. I would too.
