Honestly I'd rather he did something completely different, even the villain type role he's talked about. I don't put much stock in this as fans have campaigned for every new sci-fi thing that comes out. In fact, Nathan has said when fans do this it actually lessens his chances....not sure if that was joking or not.

Well, I'd love to see him on my TV every week, but I just don't see him in the Star Trek universe. I think I would rather he take a couple years off TV and see if he can get in some bigger projects.

It will not be on TV. It will be CBS All Access which is their internet channel. For $5.99 you can watch all things CBS. Personally I think he would like a break from the grind of doing TV.

I think he might like a break from the grind of network TV with 22-24 episodes a season, but cable and ones such as Hulu, Netflix, Amazon.....those are much shorter working seasons with only 10ish episodes a season. That would be a much more favorable schedule to allow you to do other things too.
