Penny Johnson Jerald is busy. I think the guy to her right was on Castle. He was in the episode where the dead guy had a wife and a finance.

Sunkrish Bala was uninvited from Germany's 12th Precinct Con apparently with no explanation. He does have an indie film coming out.

Oh wow, I thought Susan's Steel Magnolias was playing in NYC but apparently that is only their rehearsal location. The actual production will be at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA. That clears up my confusion about her tweet the other day saying she was leaving NYC. Hope the play does well and we still get to see her in many other things!! Love her.

Looks like Jenny has something new. Juliana Dever and Rachel Cohen are in a 4 part virtual reality series.

Great interview! Susan is someone I'd love to talk with. She's just a neat person. Glad she has the play this summer and hope other fun things come her way.

This isn't cast, but Andrew Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller are working on a new show called "Take Two". It's Remington Steele in reverse with the PI hiring an actress to advertise his business but everyone wants to hire her not him and he doesn't want anything to do with her. Sound vaguely familiar? They're talking about an international market so not sure if we will even see this. I remember a lot of people said they would never watch another show by Milmar again after Castle became pretty disappointing. If it was available to me I would give it a shot. I prefer this kind of story to all the hard core, blood and guts all the shows seem to be any more. Give me White Collar, Castle, The Mentalist any day not all the horrible stuff on now. Anyway here is their interview. take2tv.net/news/video-interview-with-take-two-creators/

To be honest, I would have loved if they had taken Castle more in the direction of Beckett and the boys leaving the 12th to work with Castle's PI business. It would have opened up the show to so many more storylines than just homicide cases. I guess Shonda defies the rule, but the chances of MilMar having a second success in a row are pretty slim. And the chances of getting chemistry like that again are even slimmer.

I either heard in the interview or else read somewhere else where Marlowe said you have to keep evolving characters and you have to continually bring them together and tear them apart to keep things interesting. So if this show lasts more than 2 or 3 seasons, if he finally gets them together it will be as unsatisfying as Castle was.

I think Marlowe is better suited for film than TV, so I wish him luck launching another TV series which, as TC-Kelly points out, is very similar to Castle. If I were greenlighting a TV show, I'd be looking for a unique concept, and this feels like a retread for MilMar (I mean the title literally says it, lol). If you can compare it to a show that's already known, it's not original enough for my taste.
