I watched PPJ new show the Orville on Fox online. ( Hurricanes exempt all regular programming) I can see why she is so enthusiastic about it. It looks like it was a lot of fun to film.

I watched it too, but I came away with a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. The humor seemed to just be an endless run of one liners and I got kind of tired of them. It's one of those shows I'd watch if I happened to be sitting in front of the TV at the right time, but I don't think I'll be a regular. I hope, for Penny's sake, that it does well.

I saw where Seth McFarlane was the creator of "Family Guy" so I see why there is so much sophomoric humor. I find Family Guy to be dumb as dirt.

I just watched the premiere. I liked it, but my husband is already done with it. It's funny. I'll see if it holds my interest over the course of the season.

I didn't watch, I knew it wouldn't be my thing. They did really well in the ratings tying the premiere of This Is Us, but I definitely think a lot of that came from the show following football. We'll see how the ratings hold up in the next couple episodes. I will be shocked if it doesn't drop quite a bit from the premiere rating.

I'm seeing a lot of negative comments about Cibrian. And yeah, I wonder if Milmar learned anything or if they will pull the same stupid moves they did with Castle.

Milmar left Castle the last season because they didn't agree with what ABC wanted to do. If you looked at Andrew's twitter it was interesting. I think ABC knows they write quality scripts as they gave them a straight to series shot. No this is not Castle. No this is not the actors we loved. I will give it a chance as there are not many well written procedurals left on TV.

Stana has a new series "Absentia" ,that has been on hold waiting for the announcement about who would be airing the series.
Prime Video will be the exclusive U.S. home to the ten-episodes series, slated for a 2018 remiere. 'Absentis' started with a 10-episode straight-to-series order by Sony Pictures Television Networks’ AXN last fall for a 2017 premiere on AXN’s worldwide channels and a plan to seek distribution in the U.S. and outside of AXN’s footprint once the show was completed.

I wasn't referring to the last season, I was referring to their apparent lack of knowing how to handle Caskett once they got them together. There are so many things they could have given us like a date night or even small things like them sitting eating dinner at home together that they just never gave us. The non-wedding was another disaster. All we got was the constant interrupted kisses. Sorry, I will be grateful to them forever for a show that will probably always be my favorite, but IMO there were so many things they could have done so much better once they were a couple.

Totally agree with what you said. I still think it was ABC that must could not let them be a couple. Andrew and Terri had no clue how much the non wedding had on their fans. From that point on the show was over. I know it ended for me with the last 5 minutes of episode 623.

Stana's new project "Absentia" premiered yesterday on Amazon Prime. The first episode is free even if you don't have Prime. I binge watched all 10 episodes. It was a thriller ride. They kept added more and more as it went on. You were kept in the dark about the truth until the bitter end. I was sitting on the edge of my chair for the last 2 episodes. I will have to go back and watch again as there was so much that will now make sense and went un-noticed the first time around. Did anyone here watch it? What did you think?

Over acted and they mumbled the dialogue. Her son looked and acted too old to be 8 or 9. They never did say how old he was when she disappeared, but since he considered his Dad's second wife to be his Mom I am guessing around 2. She was in great physical shape for a human being that had been beaten drugged and tortured for years. Since Amazon is offering 30 days of Prime for free I will watch the other 9 episodes.

Does anyone follow @cleverdever, Detective Ryan's wife and also Seamus Dever's wife? She is quite the world traveler and also a really good travel writer. I really enjoy following some of her adventures. Seems like she usually leaves hubs at home.

I will have to go back and watch again as there was so much that will now make sense and went un-noticed the first time around. Did anyone here watch it? What did you think? Great news today. As Variety put it "Absentia Renewed for Season 2 at Amazon." Stana and rest of cast and crew are already in Sofia about to start filming the new season after a couple of weeks of preproduction work and rehearsals. The new season was already picked up by Showcase Canada and some of the AXN countries. Looks like it'll get a worldwide release same as season 1. A more complete article/press release is at Deadline. Synopsis: "Absentia centers on FBI agent Emily Byrne (Katic). In season one, Emily disappeared without a trace and was declared dead after hunting one of Boston’s most notorious serial killers. Six years later, Emily was found in a cabin in the woods, barely alive, and with no memory of the years she was missing. Returning home to learn her husband had remarried and her son was being raised by another woman, she soon found herself implicated in a new series of murders. In season two, after tracking down and killing her abductor, Emily struggles for a tenuous new normal with son Flynn and ex-husband Nick. But her obsessive investigation into the questions that haunt her uncovers a serial killer and a spiraling conspiracy that threatens more than just her family." “Absentia really resonated with our Prime Video audience who were enthralled by the thrilling storyline and complicated characters,” said Vernon Sanders, Co-Head of Television, Amazon Studios. “Stana Katic is immensely talented and we look forward to her peeling away the layers of a twisted conspiracy that is deeper than her character “Emily” could have ever imagined in season two.”
