I remember reading that. I can't really picture her in the Beckett role but maybe she would have risen to the task and been totally different from her Blue Bloods role. There are others I thought would be good as Beckett like Jennifer Bealls. Perhaps the last couple of seasons wouldn't have been so bad if someone else had been in the role that wasn't at odds with Nathan. But it was all his fault cause Ms perfect can do no wrong. Everything was his fault. Light blows out, he did it, rains, he did it etc. At least that's the thinking of the I Hate Nate club. You forgot Global warming and the rise of Isis, all his fault. Face Palm I was told once by a family friend who works high up in TV production that there were two actresses who turned down the role prior to Stana. One was Moynihan, can't remember the other. No idea if that's factual, just what I was told several years ago.

Shatner's reply after someone said "Stanatics blame everything on Nathan from their burnt toast to Global warming'

Funny how you can be grocery shopping for bread and wine, then be stopped in your tracks when you hear "Into the Blue" on the intercom. I am immediately right back to the season two finale with Beckett with a slight tear in her eye. I guess some things will "Always" be with us.

So many songs I associate with the show. The Pearl Jam ones get me every time too.

Does anybody know what the deal is with Castle and online streaming services such as Hulu and Netflix. It does not appear to be available on any of them nor does ABC show it under their old shows.

I wasn't really expecting it to be on Hulu or Netflix. There are still reruns on TNT and CBS occasionally. You can also buy episodes or seasons on Amazon or iTunes.

There are certainly other ABC shows on Netflix. Maybe they can't agree on licensing fees. Seeing that it is a popular show with 8 seasons, I'm sure it will make it there eventually.

I just watched 'Overkill' from season 2 of Castle. The show was so good back then. Castle and Demming were competing to solve the case first. They both had great theories, but of course Beckett was the one to finally figure it out. I always liked Demming, but it was crushing at the end when Castle saw Beckett and Demming kissing in the hallway.

Speaking of Demming, I'd love to see Michael Trucco in a new series. It's been a while since he's been working as far as I know. Has anyone seen him in anything recently?

Trucco has guest starred in a lot of things. His biggest recent role was costarring in Disjointed. Looking at IMDB, he has a TV movie recently completed called Chiefs and a thriller called Through the Glass Darkly in post production. He seems to be pretty active so keep watching for him.

I always liked Demming, but it was crushing at the end when Castle saw Beckett and Demming kissing in the hallway. That was one of my favorite scenes! Nathan did such a great job with his facial expressions. You really felt like Castle had just been punched in the gut when he saw Beckett kiss Demming.
And the Demming/Beckett relationship made sense. We may not have wanted her with him, but he was nice guy so we understood why Beckett was with him. Josh may have been handsome and successful, but the few times the audience saw him he came across like an arrogant ass. In my mind, it brought her character down a bit that she was with him for so long. She told Castle once that she "really, really liked him" but I could never understand why.
