Finished the first DVD last night, up to about 1.08. I'm starting to see why they get rid of Bill (pizza owner?) and the crazy guy in S2 when they add Nathan. They're both starting to get old. LOL

I'm glad you got your DVDs. I don't miss Bill being gone but Mr Bauer was often hilarious!

Recap of 1st 3 eps in season 2.
S2E1 Sharon decides to quit her cushy job because they are ruining the environment. They try to bribe her to stay by offering her and her friends the weekend at the company condo in Aruba. They never imagined how hard it would be to get away.
S2E2 Berg is upset that someone else is making the top test scores.
S2E3 Pete meets a great girl but it turns out that she used to date Berg.
For next week (7/11) we'll watch eps 4 & 5. We will finally have Nathan in the show! YAY!

Kelly is right about Bill and Mr Bauer being gone. The guys are still working at the pizza place though as they finish up their school. We've picked up Ashley as a permanent character. She's pretty caustic and Berg has certainly met his match because she's smarter than him and seems to be completely resistant to his charms.

Sorry I haven't kept up with you IBM. I'm trying to catch up but haven't had much time with the holiday weekend. Hoping to be caught up by next Monday, but I'm going to Chicago for a wedding this weekend. I may have to skip a few Nathan-less ones and go back later to watch them. LOL

Like I said they are pretty stand alone so if you miss a few it probably won't make a lot of difference. Although I think I would skip some of season 1 so you can watch the beginning of season 2 to see how Ashley fits in and the dynamics of season 2.

I watched about 8 episodes last night and I'm up to about 2.05. IMO the writing is so much better in S2 than it was in S1. I'm finding even the Nathan-less S1 episodes 2.01-2.03 to be much funnier and better written than I found them in S1.
Have watched the first 2 Nathan eps. It is just me or does he look really broad shouldered and manly in this show? Maybe it's just that Sharon is tiny and he looks bigger next to her.
Really starting to enjoy the second season!!

TGaaG Recap
S2E4 Sharon is lusting after the juke box repairman (Nathan). Does she have good taste or what? She's convinced Nathan is secretly a Good Will Hunting kind of closet genius. Berg signs Pete up for Sports Broadcasting instead of the Metalurgy class he wanted. His 1st assignment is announcing the play by play at a chess match.
S2E5 Halloween Party! Sharon is a mermaid, but Johnny refused to dress as a fisherman because he wanted to be a cowboy. Meanwhile Berg apparently has a psycho double who is killing off the party goers.
Next week, 7/18, we'll talk about episodes 6 Homecoming and 7 Internship.

S2E4 I'm so glad Nathan finally showed up! He looks awesome and it is quite believable that Sharon is smitten. Because she thinks that he is probably not an ordinary blue collar guy, she sets up tests to prove his genius. But with Johnny, what you see is what you get. He sees thru her attempts to prove he's really a genius and shows that he is comfortable with who he is. Sharon falls for his charm. They end up dancing. It seems that 'the dip' is Nathan's signature move. He does it with Sharon and I think he's done it with everyone he's ever danced with!
S2E5 The Halloween party was a little bizarre. Psycho Berg killed the entire cast. The scenes for next week showed empty sets. It was funny but strange!

I watched the Halloween episode late last night and it was like #7 on the first S2 DVD. I need to check the aired list against the DVD list. Halloween episode was so weird. And Johnny ended up "dead" in the juke box. LOL Desperately waiting to discuss the "Wedding" episode which was right after Halloween, because.....damn!!!!! Nathan looked beyond words in his tux. Sharon almost fell out of her chair!

I just assumed they were aired that way. I don't know what to do about this order problem. Here's what I have for the next few episodes: S2E6 Homecoming S2E7 Internship S2E8 A Wedding S2E9 Oxford

Here's the S2 DVD order -
Someone Better Vacation Tattoo Elective Homecoming Psycho Halloween Internship Wedding Oxford Thanksgiving Limo Christmas Story Gamble Proposal Graduation Valentines Day Storm of the Century Ashley's Return Fighter Mothers Day Barenaked Ladies Engagement
This is the same as the Wiki list, except Homecoming and Elective are reversed on the DVD from Wiki.

So I'm going to stick with the order of Youtube. I'll announce the episodes we are going to review and also announce the title. If anyone else joins our discussion, they will probably be using Youtube so will hopefully be less confusing for them. Sorry it's going to be more difficult for you. -Sorry On the other hand, if you are bingeing on the DVD maybe you can review the weekly episodes on Youtube before the discussion.

No worries, they are pretty close in order. As long as you list the title, it will be easy to follow.
