I met Nathan and this is what happened...

CF, you crack me up! OF COURSE I'd love to relive my encounters with Nathan!!!!!!!!!!! However, like TC, I'm strapped for time right now. CF and I are headed to Indiana this week to meet up with other wonderful Castle friends for our 5th annual summer gathering. I can hardly wait and I have a million things yet to do to get ready, but I promise that I'll tell my stories next week sometime.

Just one tidbit for now! I'm a proud grandmother of 5 darling grandkids but I don't carry a single picture of them in my wallet. What I DO carry - ever so proudly - is the picture of my friends and I with Nathan outside the studio! Priorities people!   

We're gathering in Evansville on Thursday around supper time and will hang out together until Sunday morning. Are you close?

I'm so jealous of you two and CF right now!!!  If only I was close to Indiana.    That's pretty freaky that you live in Evansville IBM!  It's like fate! LOL  

TC, come Hell or high water, I AM going to meet you one of these days!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sure wish we could beam you up to Indiana on Saturday!

Hellooooo Sundae ladies!! I’ve missed you!! Life’s been topsy-turvy for me for about 6 months, but things are finally starting to calm down and get back to some semblance of “normal” so I’m hoping to have the time and energy to hang out with you guys once in a while. Nathan Fan has been keeping me in the loop and I really appreciated it. ::waves::

I did go to the “Quarters & June” improv show a few weeks ago and it was delightful!! Very funny. The El Portal has two theaters and this show was in the small one, which has only 3 rows, and seats about 100 people. We arrived early, which meant we got first dibs on seats and my friends insisted we sit in the front row, so we were practically sitting on the stage with the actors. (Eeeep!) Nathan and the other guests were ALL wonderful. They each only performed for about 15 minutes or so (the show was 90 minutes long), but even though he wasn’t on stage the entire time, the show was thoroughly entertaining from start to finish!

I did get to say a quick “hi” to Nathan because he and his date came in the front door entrance (just like the rest of us). Nobody else in the group that was waiting inside said anything to him, so when he walked past me I said “hi” and he said “hi” back. Like I said…it was a quickie! #inmydreams He looked very cute, and y’all know I firmly believe he has the Best.Hair.Ever, but I have to say…he definitely needs a haircut! I can’t ever recall seeing his hair this long. Maybe he wasn’t allowed to keep it long while he was filming Castle. He was wearing black slacks and a black shirt, and carrying a gray jacket over his arm, which he put on during the show. He also put on a tie for the show, but I have no idea where that was hiding when he walked in. Heh.

Alan and his wife came to the show and they were mingling with fans for a while in the lobby afterward. When we were walking back to my car, which was parked a few blocks away, we walked past what was apparently the side “stage door” and saw Alan and his wife there as well, and a few other people were hanging around. I figured Nathan would probably come out that side door eventually, but it was really late and I wanted to head home so I just kept walking. We only got a few steps past the door when Nathan came out (there wasn’t screaming, but there was enough noise to make me turn around to see what was happening). He walked over to a few fans who asked him if he’d take a picture with them, which he did. When I mentioned to my friend that he just came out the door, she started to walk back toward where he was standing. She said we should go over and say hi, and I told her I didn’t really want to bug him, but to go ahead and say hi if she wanted to, and I’d wait there for her. (I figured I'd already said hi to him in the lobby.)  Well, just as I said that, he and his date started walking toward us, so she turned around and said “they’re coming up behind us.” I said okay, let’s just walk slowly to my car and they’ll catch up to us. (I could only walk slowly anyway, since I have a sore foot.) Well, sure enough they caught up with us in just a few minutes, and when they walked by Nathan said hello and asked us if we enjoyed the show. We said yes, of course, it was wonderful and then I asked him if he enjoyed participating in it, and he said he certainly did, that he always enjoys doing things like this. In a matter of seconds they were walking ahead of us and my friend started walking faster to keep up with them, but I didn’t want to do that, so I called out to her, asking her to slow down because she was leaving me in the dust! Well, apparently Nathan didn’t hear me say her name, because he turned around and said “Sorry, we’re heading to the car because we’re picking up some friends to go out for a while.” Aaaaaack!!  I was mortified!  I said, “No Nathan, I wasn’t talking to you, I was asking my friend to slow down.” I think he said, “Oh, okay” but I’m not really sure. So that was my brief encounter with “the man”, and other than the fact that I couldn’t believe he thought I’d asked him to slow down and wait for me, it was a very fun evening!!
