Saw a tweet today from the S9 team that they will not be doing another season of Castle fanfic episodes. They are going to finish off S9 with a proper ending to the season/series.

I still think what we got sucked. ABC probably knew they were cancelling them long before they did. I hope the writers do a better job. |

This had to be a massive amount of work and coordination between the writers. And then add in the crap they've had to deal with from certain segments of the fandom. It's just not worth their time.
