First, Florence Henderson died (11/24/16). Of course, she is best known as the Brady Bunch mom. That was a shock. She was just on DWTS to show support for Maureen McCormick. She went to lie down for a little bit and never woke up. She was 82 so lived a good full life. She grew up just a few miles from where I live.
Next, Ron Glass died (11/25/16). He was only 71. Shepherd Book from Firefly. If you're not a Browncoat, you may remember him from Barney Miller as Detective Harris. The older I get, the younger 71 sounds. He grew up where I live.
They always say these deaths come in threes. Will there be another one and will it be someone from around where I live again?

It feels like this year in particularly it has been one death after another of Hollywood and famous people. It's been a tough year! I saw Ron Glass in person in Dallas in 2014. What a lovely man! And funny as hell. He did his one and only Firefly con panel, that I can think of, with all of the rest of the cast except Morena present. He was just a delight that day. |

I'd guess that Ron Glass' death hit all of the Firefly cast members pretty hard. I don't think Nathan hung out with him very often but I know he highly respected Ron and they're all so much of a family.

Thanks for sharing that article, TC. I had no idea he'd been battling illness for a while. Sounds like he was widely loved and respected. Does anyone know if he was married or had kids? I haven't ever seen a mention of family.

Thanks for sharing that article, TC. I had no idea he'd been battling illness for a while. Sounds like he was widely loved and respected. Does anyone know if he was married or had kids? I haven't ever seen a mention of family. He never married |

He was only 61!! The article said he died from complication of surgery. Anyone hear anything more than that? So sad. And then Judge Wapner, Peoles Court, died today too. He was 97! |
