Oh my, I don't think Gary will have a very big part this season. On the other hand, I think we now know why Nathan had to have a cast made of his head! So far he's been in episodes 2-3 that I watched. A friend told me he is also in 4 and 5. That's as far as they've watched. That's more than I thought for sure. I thought he was only going to have a brief appearance in the first episode.

I am so conflicted about SCD. I gave up on season 1 after 1 1/2 episodes. I've watched the 1st 5 episodes of season 2. The humor is really good. I love Nathan's talking head. Sheila and Joel have the best relationship on TV. The whole family is dedicated to making their new lifestyle work which is of course killing people so Sheila can eat and trying to maintain a normal suburban lifestyle. It seems like there is less gross stuff, but I am still grossed out so not sure how much more I can watch. There's only 10 episodes so maybe I can make it to the end.
Notable quotes:
"Nathan Fillion's head steals the show."
...and from Gary, "God, I miss gesturing."
I predict the next big thing is everyone will have a talking Gary head in a vase on their dining table.

Nathan's character was supposed to have a brief appearance in season 1 but they loved him so much they had to bring him back as a severed head.

I had no idea Nathan never got to interact with the other actors after he became just a head. It seems like that would take a lot of the fun out of it.

I thought I read that his head does get to interact with the couple, especially the husband. He is like the only” person”...we’ll head of a person, that the husband can talk to about their situation. I’ve never watched this show so I’m not sure if this makes sense ?

In the show his head and the couple, particularly Joel, interact a lot, but during filming they held or talked to a dummy head, then Nathan was shot later with his head held still by a scaffold and the magic of TV put it all together so it looked like they were really acting all together.

Nathan will no longer be playing Gary's head. Alan Tudyk is taking over.
