I have to admit I'm really glad she doesn't look like she's 16 like the girl from Modern Family - although she might when she's not posing for a glam shot. I hadn't heard of her before but I like her look. I can't wait to see some previews for this show. |

Lots of details about The Rookie! It sounds like they will really explore everyone's lives unlike Castle. Apparently John and Lucy are sleeping together in the 1st episode so we won't get any time to get used to the idea. If they have good stories, interesting characters, and lots of banter, they could have a hit, I certainly hope so.

I think Nathan realized that being the star of a show that had him in most scenes was a way to burn out and not have a life. His guest star role on Modern family made him realize that having more cast members to spread the scenes out was the way to go. Everyone gets a chance to shine and everyone gets a chance to have a life and not work 17 hrs days. If they start out showing lots of story lines with the different characters people will realize this is what the show is all about. It won't be only about Nathan's character.

I'm really liking the information that is coming out and that it doesn't sound like a specific cast of the week situation. Will we get to see John interact with his college ae son? I hope so!! If so, wonder who they would cast. |

Richard T Jones has been added to The Rookie as Watch Commander. I know he's done other things but I remember him mostly from Judging Amy. Should be a good addition.

People really seem to be happy with the cast they're gathering, lots of good comments on each of them. They've definitely got diversity covered which reflects real life LAPD. |

I think it's awesome that Nathan is going to London for the UKScreenings which is a marketplace for selling movies/series to international markets/distributors. They're already trying to sell the show internationally. I think there's a good chance ABC will do a great deal of promotion for the show.

I don't know either of these guys. I haven't seen anything that any of then have appeared in but they all seem to have good resumes. This still leaves one character to be cast I think. Another female cop. Take Two is supposed to start filming in one week and this is the first casting notice I've seen for their show. They seem to be getting much less publicity than The Rookie. |

Another costar for The Rookie. She plays the Captain. She's only 35. To me that seems pretty young to be a Captain but I don't know anything about the workings of a real police precinct.
She appeared in the Castle episode "He's dead, She's dead".

So if she started right out of college being a Captain is feasible. |
