I think everyone is doing great work on The Rookie. It irritates me that only cable shows seem to get considered for awards. At least they are getting recognition for stunt work!

I have not watched the Emmys for years. The only network shows that get nominated are the daytime ones. I am not familiar with any of the nominees but are they really so much better then what comes on the networks. Maybe the free TV people need to do their own awards because it looks like they will never be nominated again.

I keep hearing how great the cable shows are. Usually when I try to watch them I can't stand them. I do like some of the streaming shows like Ozark and Mrs Masiel, but there are some Network shows that I am really into like The Rookie and A Million Little Things and there are several others that I watch.

Sounds like the Rookie is being extra cautious. I saw Alexi tweet about other showrunners and producers getting together on line to discuss how they were approaching getting back to filming again. It should be a challenge for sure.

If they do start production at the end of this month, they can start airing the new season in January. I would think that while they are filming, people will occasionally test positive and have to quarantine so it could take a long time to get a full season together - or even a half season.

It's going to be interesting to see if they create a "bubble" for the cast or just try and keep social distancing. Can you imagine if Nathan or one of the main leads gets a positive test? This scene looks like it's pretty safe. I don't think we will see the room full of cops at the start of shift for awhile.

Realistically they could add in masks because they too are living through the same time period with a pandemic. I'm sure they are taking a lot of precautions but there are a lot of people involved in shooting a show so it's risky. I don't know how often they are getting tested but they could easily get shut down for a couple of weeks or more.
