That does have Andrew’s sound to this interview. I know they had ideas for future TV movies after the series finished up. I could see some references to those characters popping in the dialog. I don’t see any guest spots happening.

I don’t see any guest spots happening. When I was reading it, I was thinking about Ryan and Esposito or maybe even Lanie appearing in the show as themselves and I could definitely see that happening. But he specifically mentioned Castle and Beckett. I think Nathan would be up for a cameo, but I'm not sure about Stana. Even to see Ryan and Esposito talking about what Castle and Beckett were up to would be cool.

A nice mention and reminder from Seamus. Take Two starts tonight on ABC.

I watched and enjoyed the show. The similarities to Castle were not a distraction to me. Maybe enough time has gone by, I don't know. I really felt that they made it fresh by switching the male and female roles and keeping it out of the realm of police work. Of course, there are backstories to be discovered and I'm willing to give it time to do that. I sure didn't feel the level of chemistry I felt when Castle premiered but I honestly feel that has to do with Nathan. He had such a charisma and level of flirtaciousness that stopped me in my tracks. The female lead in Take Two had little or none. She was likable, and I did like the way they let her move from her self-centeredness to caring for the victims, but she still came across as a pain in the butt more than a possible attraction. Again though, I'll give it some time.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I have to admit I was more disappointed in it than I expected to be, although I must admit I was doing computer work while I watched so maybe I didn't give it a good enough chance. I'll watch it again when my husband is ready and see if I change my opinion. Having it be so close to Castle in words and plot and then not seeing as good chemistry as in Castle was a let down. It felt like a tired retread. I will try a few more episodes and see if it gets better.

I watched it twice. Not because I loved it but I fell asleep before the end. I did not dislike it but nothing about it made me say WOW can't wait for the next episode. The show is a poor imitation of Castle. Ibmjas is right that have no chemistry and the fact he looks more like her Dad does not help although he did look good without a shirt.

Rachel Bilson certainly looks young but will soon be 37. Eddie is 45 so it wouldn't exactly be robbing the cradle. I don't know how old she is supposed to be in the show. Did that come out in the first episode? I really agree with you about shirtless Eddie. Sam was certainly checking him out and I might have been too! Tongue out Beer I wouldn't mind seeing that every week!

Now ladies, how shallow of you! Have I mentioned what the thought of Nathan in a sarong does to me? ? (Pot - meet Kettle!) .

He take his shirt off whenever he wants.

I finally got a chance to watch it last night. I will have to watch it again as I had my nephew, his wife and their 2 HS kiddos watching also. They were talking and interupting all during the show so it was hard to focus. They enjoyed the show and the 16 yr old girl wondered when she could watch another episode. I really tried to not focus on things that were like Castle but tried to watch with a fresh eye. It will take them some time to grow into the characters but I think it got off to a good start. We will hear more about the case that left Eddie backing off of any challenging cases where he might not be successful. I think Sam will help him gain back his confidence. I noticed that Rachel Bilsom has not only top billing but also has a producers credit. She had more focus on her character for sure.
I will go back and watch the pilot again without distractions but I will watch more episodes. Not close to how wonderful Castle was but I think it should do OK.

Take Two does nothing for me. I found both hours felt like forever. I gave it another try last night and it just doesn't hold my interest and I don't find either of them all that great actors. I did find it amusing that in both Milmar interviews I've read they talk about how making him a PI gives them so many more types of cases to work with unlike Castle that was all about murder and dead bodies. And yet the first two episodes both deal with murder and dead bodies. This also made me laugh: Terri Miller: "We were actually looking at a number of different projects. We have a lot of interests—we’re interested in science-fiction, we’re interested in other worlds, we’re interested in created interesting worlds to introduce the audience to." www.givememyremote.com/remote/2018/06/28/take-two-interview-andrew-marlowe-terri-edda-miller/And yet they chose to copy and paste the one thing they've done that was successful.

Wasn't Castle the only thing they had done. I have watched both episodes and fallen asleep during both. There is very little original about the show. The scene in the closet was like watching an over the top early season Richard Castle. But considering how bad network TV is it is almost decent.

I also watched again last night and I find it enjoyable. I just kind of roll my eyes every time there's a Castle - esque scene (like her theory spouting last night) but I do like the dramedy genre and there's nothing else available to me on network TV this summer. I like the way they seem to be in no hurry to ramp up a sexual attraction between the leads. It's giving them a chance to develop some respect for each other and a sense of friendship and partnership. I sure wouldn't say I'm invested in it but it's OK summer fare.
