Review - contains spoilers
I thought The Switch would be fun and it was. Nolan was paired with Lopez, Chen with Bishop, and West with Bradford. Bishop warned Lopez that Nolan talked a lot and Lopez quickly declared the shop a quiet zone. Lopez negected to tell Bradford about West's inablility to handle being under fire. Bradford was livid when he found out and attacked Lopez (verbally) for not warning him. Bradford wanted to out West immediately but Lopez said it would reflect poorly on both of them and she felt he could be a good cop if he could overcome his fear. Later Jackson talks to Wallace who is afraid to leave his apartment. Wallace told West he wished he had faced his fears early on so he wouldn't now be a slave to it. I think West realized the truth in that statement and how it applied to his own situation.
There was some comic relief when Nolan chased after an escaping prisoner while trying to hang on to his rookie book which was falling apart. He was told he'd be fired if he lost his rookie book so he wasn't about to leave it, or leave any of the pages that kept falling out of it.
I was upset by Bishop's continued attempts to end the romance between Nolan and Chen. It seemed to upset Chen and made her 2nd guess herself. Then Bishop told Nolan how bad it would be for Chen when their relationship got out. I don't even understand that, but Nolan considers it and decides Bishop is right. He breaks up with Chen just as Chen decides to break up with him. They are both hurt and I hate it. I didn't think the relationship would last but I enjoyed it and was hoping it would continue longer. I'm really hoping they don't pair him up with Capt Anderson.
