Did you see what his niece was sleeping on? It looked like they used logs to knit it! I am thinking whoever made it has a knitting machine. The top part looks knitted and the bottom like they made cords and braided them together. I do not do either but I have never seen crochet hooks that big. The Firefly afghan is knitted, a fan tweeted that she made it and sent it to him. The bottom thing she's laying on is all the rage. It is knitted also. You can either knit it using your arms as the knitting needles or you can buy needles that look like skinny logs almost and yarn that is as thick as a heavy boat anchor rope. I'm a knitter and I've seen the needles and yarn in Michaels. My sister in law has one similar to the pic thrown over the end of her bed. I've never tried it though, it seems like it would be so awkward to knit. I love the way it looks though.

I think that's a private home rental they stayed in based on the pictures. Sweet digs!!! Wonder if it's one that comes with a small staff - chef and housekeeper - a lot of the high end ones in places like that do. Staying in a private home like that affords them a lot more privacy than a hotel or resort where they're more likely to run into fans. It's crazy that we had absolutely no fan sightings this time, at least that I've seen. We usually have a few...either on his flight or wherever he's travelled to. I bet it's nice to be able to just enjoy being a normal tourist without getting the attention. It looks like a home. What it is called Airnub Yes there are several companies like Airbnb and VRBO that manage private rental homes from small to mansions. We've rented them (not the mansions lol) before for family vacations. In fact that's what we rented last month. It's so much nicer than hotel rooms, and a lot more private for celebs.

Happy Fillion Friday and what a TREAT to get the tbt pic from one of their houseboat vacations! Even back then, it seems that Nathan and Jeff were able to have fun together. It is rather comical to see the different images the 2 projected. Jeff looks all manicured and proper and Nathan has that wild and 'life is my playground' look. That's Jeff??? I've seen a couple old friends from back then mention someone else's name as who it is. I don't think it's Jeff. This isn't the first time. He and Michelle stopped once to help push a stalled car off the road and I think Susan Sullivan tweeted about seeing Nathan helping someone change a tire by the side of the road once before. How many celebs would actually do that. Say a lot!!

Me and needles and threads are mortal enemies. We had to take Home Economics in high school. I hated the sewing semester.

I bet he was the most popular kid at the reunion! He looks so damn good in this pic!!!! -OK I think it's awesome that he went home for his reunion. So many great photos posted by friends/classmates. And the woman in this pic teased that he put on a name tag, saying "as if he needed one". They look like they're all having so much fun. He's still good friends with some of those guys. Now we know why he posted the old photo on the houseboat the other day. And this one with his niece, Jordan. Maybe this is where she works? Next weekend is DragonCon on Friday and the FanExpo in Toronto on Saturday and Sunday.

Here is some arm knitting which could have created the knitted blanket Nathan's niece was sleeping on.

Here is some arm knitting which could have created the knitted blanket Nathan's niece was sleeping on. As a knitter, that looks so weird to me!!! What I love is that you could whip up something really big in a really short time with that HUGE yarn!! I may have to try this!! I love the way it looks.

First promo for ConMan on SyFy channel. Looks like they went with the same type promos that they used for the crowdfunding campaign with Alan and Nathan. Why mess with success?? These two always make me laugh. Nathan's Face Palm at Alan's "we filmed in widescreen" comment! -LOL

The KTLA Morning Show hosts mention Nathan at the very beginning of this interview with Michael Trucco on his role in the Netflix show "Disjointed".

I've been immersed in grandkids with several back to back days of babysitting so I've missed all of the great pics from Edmonton. I love the reunion pics!
Not only was Nathan kind enough to stop and help the couple in need, but he was capable of doing it! REAL men can still change a tire!!!!

So...I've been completely intrigued by that knitted blanket Nathan's niece was laying on in the picture. I've done some research, bought a little yarn and I'm going to try it. I know some of you were also interested in it, so here's a great video I found on how to make one. I really think anyone can do this, you don't have to have any knowledge of knitting. It's just making loops. There are also versions using arm knitting but that looks really cumbersome and hard on your arms and way more complicated, whereas this one anyone can do and you get the same effect.
The hardest part for me was finding the really big chunky yarn so you might have to buy it online. I found a very limited selection at Hobby Lobby (Joanne Fabrics and Michaels didn't have any by me).
I'll let you know how it goes, it's pretty fast. Here's the link to the YouTube video for anyone interested. BTW, the yarn isn't cheap and it takes quite a bit but they're selling them on Easy for about $160. I think I can make it for around $75.
