John and Jessica’s (Sarah Shahi) relationship gets a lot more complicated after she delivers some surprising news. Meanwhile, Officer Bradford and Office West are assigned a community policing project helping out the Watts Rams as volunteer coaches at their fall clinic, along with Rams players Eric Weddle and Robert Woods.

Yeah that would be so wrong if she is pregnant. John was obligated to marry his 1st wife because she was pregnant. One would hope he checked on BC with Jessica? The writers somehow think that getting pregnant or joking about it is something people want to see...not!!

Or if she is pregnant, maybe she decides to get an abortion which I think would greatly upset John and likely end their relationship if he can't talk her out of it.

Scary start to Nolan's day as Jessica tells him she's late. He assures her whatever happens will be fine but when he gets to the station, he starts agonizing over the situation to his fellow rookies, but then discovers they were wearing earbuds and didn't hear a thing so he agonizes in silence. Then he gets a special assignment at the hospital for a pregnant women's group with Grace. What timing! He's totally distracted waiting for Jessica's call to tell him the results of the test but when she finally calls, he has to literally drop everything to defend one of the pregnant ladies from her abusive boyfriend. His phone gets busted and his arm gets slashed but he quickly disarms the assailant and handcuffs him. She tracks him down at the hospital to give him the good news. Well, it's good for one of them.
Harper and Chen pull Community Meeting duty. Harper isn't warm and fuzzy with Chen telling her that her rookie is Nolan so Chen will be known as Not Nolan. Harper tells Chen not to get involved and just tell everyone that they are looking into whatever the problem is. Of course Chen doesn't listen and promises to follow up on most of the requests. They run into some sticky situations and Harper doesn't seem to respect Chen's ability. Later Chen redeems herself and earns Harper's respect.
Jackson and Bradford get to go to a community football practice and hang out with a couple of Rams. Turns out he went to school with Weddle. They get involved with a kid and his ex-convict mom and their story overlaps with Lopez who has a side job protecting a guy picking up millions in diamonds. A gun battle ensues but the good guys win as always.
I'm not really sad that Jessica is out. I enjoyed her at first but felt like they were too different to make it in the long run. I think Grace is the girl he loved and was unable to act on it because his ex found out she was pregnant and he married her. I want to see where his relationship with Grace leads but I don't think they will jump right into it.
