I'm pretty clueless about what goes into the making of a TV show. Here's a break down of some of the money spent on the Rookie. Over $850,000 just in food expense!

The Rookie has already been selected for a tax credit for its 2nd season assuming it gets one. Maybe that will aid in deciding to renew it.

The Rookie showrunner, Alexi Hawley, talked about the cliffhanger and things to expect in the 2nd half of the season. He mentioned that what happens after an officer involved shooting varies widely from police department to police department. Hawley opted to show a thorough investigation of the death.

That's an awesome comment coming from a cop! I know the show intends to be realistic and I'm so glad that it's being seen as so. I know I was sure impressed with that last episode.

Impressive that the Wall Street Journal had an article about this show. Network TV is in trouble. I am going to cut the cord sometime this year. I will be getting a DVR and I will still watch network TV over the air. I have a Smart TV so the rest will be using the internet.
