IBM, you are DA BOMB! Thank you so much for finding that and posting it! He is so ADORABLE! Would have liked to have heard more diving stories or BTS Rookie stories instead of the phone call though. I love that pic you posted of him with the big grin.
I always wondered why he didn't appear on Kimmel just prior to The Rookie's premier. I'd have thought that would have been the logical time to promote the show.

I also really expected him to be on Kimmel before the show aired, but they were promoting the heck out of the show then so maybe they didn't think they needed a Kimmel appearance. Now we are right before February sweeps so maybe they thought this was better timing.

The show seems to do a good job on accuracy. My Pastor who served 22 years on the Tallahassee Police Force is doing marital counseling for First Responders. He told they will not use any services of this type offered by either The Police or Fire department because it puts a mark on their record. This exactly what Tallia told John. She did not want anyone to know she was going to counseling because it would make her look weak
I remember when either President or VP visited. I was working in the Federal Building. The Secret Service was in the parking garage next to the building. They all had long rifles.

I can't say that I get it. There were numerous character reveals in the first episode. While it IS a procedural, I still feel it's taking a fresh point of view and I also like the balance with the ensemble cast. Every episode has kept me totally engaged and it's not just Nathan!

Does anyone get the 'really clunky character revelation' that he talks about? I think this is the promo for the premier in Australia or New Zealand? I know I have seen promos for New Amsterdam and another show here in New Zealand and Australia. If they only got the pilot then they have no idea how this show goes far beyond what they are talking about with the characters in the show. |

LOVE the testimonial from the guest star as well as the article about his 25 years with ABC. These kinds of comments about Nathan and his own statements about how grateful he is, are SOOOOO consistent. Throughout his career, he's always tried to bring out the best in his coworkers and give credit to those who helped him. He walks the talk and is the REAL DEAL!  |

The TVGrimReaper predicts that The Rookie will be cancelled. He thinks it is telling that it wasn't renewed when they announced A Million Little Things was renewed. It's certainly possible. Everything else on his ABC list was renewed or likely renewed. On the other hand, I read an article last week that said the networks were producing a lot fewer pilots this year and were instead going to renew more shows. The Rookie is holding its own in a tough time slot and is airing in several countries, deadline.com/2018/10/nathan-fillion-the-rookie-global-sales-sky-1202479032/ so I'm not going to write it off yet. |

Goodness! I really thought ABC was committed to the show and I have to believe that it was their own error in not premiering it the same time as New Amsterdam. I think The Rookie would be faring better in the ratings had it come out of the gates at the same time. I sure hope they give it another shot and perhaps move its time slot.
